$140,000 – $180,000 base salary range

Blayze Group is partnering with a well established commercial general contractor to appoint a Senior Project Manager within its core project delivery team. My client operates across a range of commercial asset classes and is known for disciplined execution, repeat client relationships, and a stable backlog of negotiated work.

This position sits at the heart of project delivery, with full responsibility for managing complex commercial projects from preconstruction handover through completion. The business places strong emphasis on planning, financial control, and accountability, rather than volume driven project turnover.

The Role

• Lead commercial construction projects from contract award through close out

• Manage project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and change management

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and recovery plans where required

• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams

• Oversee procurement strategy, subcontract negotiations, and contract administration

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and design teams

• Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers where applicable

• Drive disciplined project documentation, reporting, and close out

Background Sought

• 7 plus years experience in commercial construction project management

• Proven experience delivering ground up or major renovation commercial projects

• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ownership of project P and L

• Experience managing multiple subcontract packages and complex schedules

• Confident communicator with clients, consultants, and field teams

• Organised, commercially minded, and comfortable operating with accountability

Candidates whose experience is limited to residential or narrowly scoped tenant improvement projects are unlikely to align.
