A well-established commercial general contractor in Houston is looking to add a Project Engineer to their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their construction career who wants hands-on exposure to projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Position Overview
The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to support daily project operations, documentation, and coordination. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in commercial construction management.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams
• Review drawings and specifications to understand scope and constructability
• Participate in site walks, inspections, and closeout activities
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (required)
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction (internships/co-ops count)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software is a plus
