Our client is a fast-growing real estate investment and development firm based in Austin, Texas, specializing in commercial assets and renewable energy projects. The team operates lean and collaboratively, working hands-on across complex, high-volume transactions.
About the Role
The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will independently manage due diligence and closing processes across multiple transactions. This role requires full ownership of documentation, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to proactively drive deals forward with limited oversight.
You will work closely with the Closing Lead and collaborate daily with legal, acquisitions, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all aspects of due diligence and closings for commercial real estate and renewable energy transactions

Prepare, review, and manage closing deliverables, documentation, and checklists

Draft, review, and organize transaction documents prior to attorney review

Review surveys, title commitments, policies, easements, and ALTA documentation

Identify issues or discrepancies and escalate findings appropriately

Manage signatures, notarizations, and document routing

Maintain organized closing files and document retention systems

Operate independently to move transactions forward proactively

Coordinate with title companies, outside counsel, surveyors, utilities, and third-party stakeholders

Collaborate with legal, land acquisition, finance, and operations teams
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required Experience
-
7–10+ years of professional experience

3–4+ years specifically in commercial real estate, land, or renewable energy transactions

Background in one or more of the following:
-
Commercial real estate law firm
-
Renewable energy developer (legal or land department)

Title company (Stewart Title or comparable provider)

Required Skills & Attributes

Strong understanding of real estate due diligence and closing processes

Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills with attorneys, title officers, and external partners
Work Environment

Full-time, in-office role based in Austin, TX

Occasional ad-hoc flexibility for appointments
