About the Role
This position plays a key role in supporting preconstruction efforts by preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project teams from early design through final proposal, helping shape budgets, analyze scopes, and strengthen overall bid strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Preconstruction Coordination

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses

Develop conceptual and detailed budgets

Assist in preparing competitive proposals

Coordinate subcontractor and vendor outreach during bid phases

Support scope reviews and bid leveling
Technical & Digital Proficiency

Apply knowledge of construction means, methods, and market pricing

Utilize estimating and takeoff software effectively

Maintain organized and accurate project documentation
Strategic Collaboration & Communication

Participate in pre-bid meetings and design coordination sessions

Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders

Provide timely updates to leadership throughout the estimating process
Department Collaboration & Growth

Support and mentor junior team members

Contribute to improving estimating standards and internal procedures

Qualifications

Previous experience in vertical commercial construction estimating

Experience working on projects valued at $10M+

Proficiency with construction takeoff and estimating software

Established network of subcontractors and suppliers preferred

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits

$100,000 – $120,000 base salary
