About the Role

Senior Project Manager | Commercial General Contractor

$110,000 to $150,000 base salary | Project-level bonuses | 401(k) match | Health reimbursement | Gas card | Phone allowance

Dallas, TX | Office-based | Established family-owned commercial general contractor

Blayze Group is partnering with a long-standing, family-owned commercial general contractor in Dallas to appoint a Senior Project Manager.

This opportunity would suit either an established Senior Project Manager looking for a stable, leadership-led commercial GC environment, or a strong Project Manager who is ready to step up into a more senior role with greater ownership, closer exposure to leadership, and responsibility for delivering multiple commercial projects from handoff through closeout.

The company has been established for more than 40 years and is known for premium commercial interior finish-out and construction projects across sectors including corporate interiors, aviation, retail, restaurants, banking, healthcare, religious facilities and other commercial environments.

This is not a remote or hybrid role. The successful candidate will be based from the Dallas headquarters and will suit someone who wants to be embedded in a stable, relationship-driven, family-owned business.

Why This Opportunity

  • $110,000 to $150,000 base salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications
  • Project-level bonus potential for exceeding expectations
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 4%
  • Phone allowance up to $150 per month
  • Gas card
  • Health reimbursement plan
  • 15 vacation days plus 7 paid holidays
  • Long-term opportunity with an established Dallas general contractor
  • Direct reporting line into senior leadership
  • Strong platform for an existing Senior Project Manager, or a proven Project Manager ready to step up

The Role

  • Lead commercial construction projects from estimating handoff through closeout
  • Manage project buyout, subcontractor procurement, permits, schedules and start dates
  • Create and maintain Microsoft Project schedules for each assigned project
  • Run multiple projects at the same time, with an average of around 4 active jobs depending on size and complexity
  • Manage projects typically around $1.5M, with larger projects reaching up to $20M
  • Own project financial projections, monthly reporting, cost control and profit performance
  • Handle core project documentation including subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, closeout documents and related paperwork
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, internal teams and field leadership
  • Resolve construction, budget, schedule and project-specific issues while maintaining strong relationships
  • Drive safe, high-quality delivery while meeting or exceeding scheduled completion dates
  • Support the customer experience, repeat business and long-term client relationships
  • Mentor junior team members and support the growth of other employees within the business

Background Sought

  • 8+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial General Contractor
  • Current Senior Project Managers and strong Project Managers ready to step up will both be considered
  • Strong commercial construction background, ideally including interiors, finish-out, tenant improvement, retail, restaurant, healthcare, aviation, banking, corporate interiors or similar project types
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a similar field
  • Experience managing multiple commercial projects at once
  • Strong scheduling, buyout, subcontractor management, financial reporting and closeout experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Bluebeam
  • Comfortable handling your own project paperwork when needed
  • Strong communication skills with owners, subcontractors, consultants and internal teams
  • Stable career history and a clear progression within commercial construction
  • Ability to operate with accountability, urgency and professionalism in a smaller, leadership-led GC environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the US, no visa sponsorship available
