Building Engineer

The opportunity to join a respected commercial real estate group with a strong Atlanta presence.

Blayze Group is partnering with a well-established commercial real estate owner and operator to appoint a Building Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial properties, with many assets based around the south side of Atlanta.

The Role

• Maintain and operate commercial building systems across assigned properties
• Respond to tenant work orders, repairs, and service requests
• Perform preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, mechanical, and life safety systems
• Inspect properties regularly to identify repair needs, safety issues, and maintenance priorities
• Troubleshoot building issues and coordinate specialist vendors where required
• Support property managers, tenants, contractors, and internal teams to keep buildings running smoothly
• Complete maintenance logs, work orders, inspection reports, and service documentation
• Assist with general building repairs including doors, locks, paint, drywall, fixtures, ceiling tiles, and minor carpentry

Background Sought

• Experience as a Building Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, or similar
• Commercial property maintenance experience preferred
• Good working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general building systems
• Professional, reliable, hands-on, and comfortable working directly with tenants
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks across assigned properties
