About the Role
The Property Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across assigned commercial properties. This position works closely with property management and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting, reconciliations, and financial oversight.
This is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the real estate operations and understands the rhythm of commercial property accounting.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements for commercial properties

Post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity

Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Assist with budgets, forecasts, audits, and variance analysis

Partner with property managers to resolve accounting-related issues

Utilize MRI daily for reporting, reconciliations, and property-level accounting
Qualifications

3+ years of commercial property accounting experience

Strong, hands-on experience with MRI Software

Experience across office, retail, industrial, or mixed-use portfolios

Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)

Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
